Our founder, Valerie Chua is an experienced business development and sales professional, she holds strong background in IT marketing, she is a business development strategist and ERP project implementer with a very multi-national mindset. Growing up in Singapore, Valerie furthered her education in London, and had lived in many cities across continents, which shaped her as a multi-cultural marketeer.

Valerie moved to the UK in 2018 after living in Germany for 13 years, she has been working for a Singapore IP Law firm (Ella Cheong LLC) as a business development representative in the UK, which has helped her build her business relationships and network. Since Apr 2020, Valerie has broadened her services scope to include professional business development, marketing and sales services.  In 2024, Swallows Connections expanded to help startups and scale ups in exploring investments and internationalisation into the spaces of South East Asia and Middle East (Dubai), focusing on technology companies.

Valerie brings with her vast experiences in change management consulting, IT solutions sales and marketing, event management and business development. She excels in business relationships with her genuine proactive personalities, gaining valuable trust from a wide network of contacts, from Europe, UK and South East Asia.
